Humour and misery from the Great North

Come and discover how a dismal village hall can be transformed into a discotheque! We are in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, which has become a land of refuge for climate refugees. Nostalgic for the joyful lotteries of their home country, the French working-class community gathers every Saturday in their neighbourhood's Bingo Halli in the hope of winning a prize useful for their desolate daily lives. However, in Finland, the atmosphere in bingo halls is pathetic. With Diskoteekki (discotheque in Finnish), Nicole Genovese, known for her absurd, social, and poetic humour in theatre, leads Les Percussions de Strasbourg in a reflection on enchantment. This musical comedy, with the sincere charm of a vulnerable human group, pays tribute to the solitudes that gather and reveal themselves.
