Formula Bula, le festival de bande dessinée

Formula Bula 2026. Between heritage, contemporary international scene and youth. Formula Bula 2026 affirms an editorial line faithful to its DNA: to foster dialogue between heritage, contemporary international creation and emerging forms, while defending an open and vibrant vision of comic strips. Through a rich programme of exhibitions, talks and experiments, the festival also puts youth in the spotlight with an ambitious programme dedicated to young audiences and transmission.

Highlights of this edition: F’murrr Exhibition From 17 September to 09 October 2026 - Mairie du 5ème. A journey through the absurd, poetic and deeply humanist universe of Le Génie des Alpages.

The exhibition reveals the richness of F’murrr’s work, a master of nonsense and a critical observer of the world. Alongside the exhibition, Formula Bula offers a series of talks and guided tours to explore the many facets of F’murrr’s work.

From his political and social commitment to the question of the conservation and transmission of comic strip archives, these discussions bring together historians, curators and authors to shed light on the legacy of a major author of the ninth art.

Gros oeuvre, an exhibition by Marion Fayolle From 25 to 27 September 2026 - Césure-Paris 5° An exploration of the figure of the house as an intimate and symbolic space at the heart of Marion Fayolle’s work.

The artist will also be the president of the jury for the 2026 Children and Teen Fanzine Prize.

International Focus: Finnish Comics From 25 to 27 September 2026 - Césure-Paris 5° With artists Aapo Rapi, Tommi Musturi, Emmi Valve, Roope Eronen, Hanneriina Moissenen, Marko Turunen, Femicomix.

Supported by Club 99, a federation of comic strip & associated arts festivals, the Sarjakuva season honours contemporary Finnish comics through several French festivals.

In this context, Formula Bula welcomes six Finnish authors for exhibitions, talks and performances dedicated to imaginaries from the North.
