Ibeyi - Tournée

Presented by Talent Boutique. With Offering, Ibeyi reconnects with the free and spontaneous instinct of their early days.

In over a decade of success — praised by Beyoncé and Orelsan, through their Tiny Desk and COLORS sessions, tours on the biggest stages, crowned in summer 2023 by a memorable Olympia show — the Diaz twins saw their momentum falter under the pressure of algorithms and often clumsy marketing strategies.

While Offering, as often in their work, draws on an imagination nourished by the Yoruba religion, these references should not distract from the essential: the Diaz sisters unfold a more intimate, less symbolic narrative, and tell their story for the first time with a single voice.

Between sacred minimalism, analogue textures, tweaked percussion and transformed voices, they deliver an album that is sometimes totally stripped back, sometimes more massive, where physicality and raw energy emanate from every track.

Newly independent, they have gathered around them a cohort of producers from hip-hop, underground and alternative pop (Khalil, Jason Pounds, Zach Ezzy, pablopablo, Jack Peñate), replacing their long-time collaborator Richard Russell.

A unanimous, profoundly transformative decision. For two years, Naomi and Lisa-Kaindé embarked on a quest for the same artistic clarity — between good and bad musical “dates”, until their decisive meeting with Michael Brun, who serves as the album's executive director.

By disappearing from external view for a time, Ibeyi rediscovered the essential: play.
