• In a stagecoach, a group of virtuous notables and “Boule de suif”, a prostitute, flee the Prussian army. The coach is stopped by an enemy officer who demands Boule de suif's favours in exchange for letting the travellers proceed. She refuses.

Today. A classroom, a teacher, students, the audience, a situation of school bullying known to all, and yet... Everything changes when, through the study of Maupassant's text, this teacher draws links between the work and current events, between the characters of the short story and very real situations, and vividly portrays protagonists and situations. With great humour and intelligence, everything takes shape, everything makes sense, and as the mechanisms of the pack mentality are deciphered, the outlines of collective resilience emerge.
