A tale of passion and control. La Misérable shines a light on Victor Hugo's shadow, Juliette Drouet, recounting 50 years of a mad love and mutual hold. It is the docility of an indocile woman who took on the task of accompanying the greatest poet of all time so that he could complete his work. Juliette is his heroine, his muse, his passion, his copyist, his inspirer, but also his prisoner. Victor locks her in a maid's room for 14 years to have her all to himself. She will write him thousands of letters during her captivity, while remaining his eternal support, devoted body and soul. Two inseparable beings cradled by a secret and obsessive love, for better or for worse! Julie Depardieu has decided to embody the character of Juliette, 140 years later, to tell us her story that no one ever wanted to listen to and to reveal all their intimate secrets.
