Francesco Geminiani is an almost legendary figure from the Baroque period. An immense violinist, he was a disciple of Alessandro Scarlatti and Arcangelo Corelli. His name was then mentioned in the same breath as Vivaldi and Handel. Julien Chauvin and Le Concert de la Loge invite us to rediscover this unjustly neglected composer. Alongside La Foresta incantata, which Geminiani composed in 1754 to accompany a pantomime at the Tuileries Palace, the programme for this concert offers superb arias and duets from the operas of his two great contemporaries, Handel and Vivaldi. The virtuosos of Le Concert de la Loge will literally carry two sparkling voices, those of Julie Roset and Adèle Charvet.
