In the still-smoking ruins of the catastrophe, a cabaret comes to life: that of "Le Mauvais Sort", where the images and passions of the Western world are purged. At the heart of the disaster, people sing, they laugh in the face of what romantic impulse can provoke in us and, as the acts unfold, roles waver, certainties crack, and the established order is shaken.

On this end-of-the-world stage, a police officer, a journalist, a doctor, and a star singer perform a series of burlesque sketches, love songs, magic tricks, and stripteases. These four archetypal figures of power, both familiar and grotesque, re-enact the symptoms of our romantic passions until intimate collapse. For it is these impulses of the heart — in their most frantic form — that are at the centre of this biblical-pop ritual. Irrepressible desire as a counter-spell cast against a world order obsessed with controlling bodies and imaginations. Passionate love in all its subversive power, capable of disorganising roles, shaking hierarchies, and cracking Western structures of domination. In this cabaret of broken hearts, where the ghosts of our love stories surface, Céline Champinot seeks not so much to ward off passions as to experience their full scope, to better shift our perspective. What if, in this collapse, an unexpected possibility lay hidden — that of seeing other ways of being in the world emerge?
