Jazz — Immerse yourself in the world of Mary Lou Williams, a jazz pioneer, through an enriching and interactive musical reading for the whole family.

The Little Piano Girl: The Story of Mary Lou Williams, Jazz Legend, a children's album about the life of Mary Lou Williams, a jazz pianist and composer, a major figure too long relegated to the margins of history.

The reading will be in two languages (English and French), followed by a listening session of her pieces and a discussion about Mary Lou Williams, the history of jazz, and notions of discrimination.

This session is part of the “Femmes de jazz, une autre histoire du jazz” project, which highlights the contributions of women in jazz. Duration: 50 minutes. Open to all audiences from 7 years old. Each ticket is €13 online (single price, valid for 1 person, child or adult).
