Lecture théâtrale "Tellement sympa" (bilingue LSF / français)

On the occasion of International Sign Languages Day (ISLD) on September 23 and World Deaf Day (WDD) on September 26, discover Tellement sympa, a committed theatrical reading on the reality of domestic violence.

Stemming from Jennifer Lesage-David's show, this bilingual reading features two deaf friends, Béatrice and Sohanne, who reconnect via screen.

Through their exchange, French Sign Language (LSF) and spoken French are articulated through the interpretation of actresses Delphine Leleu (Deaf) and Amandine Marco (Hearing) to show how control takes hold.

Under its seemingly innocuous title, Tellement sympa points a finger at the social mask of the manipulator: this man perceived as charming and above all suspicion by his entourage, which makes it even more difficult for the victim's voice to be heard.

This text thus makes visible the complexity of denial, shame, and silence within small communities where everyone knows each other. Breaking with this hierarchical gender relationship, the cradle of all other dominations, is an urgency for me.
