One lives in Tel Aviv, the other in Paris. In 2022, a renowned European festival commissioned them to create a show on the question of identity: what does it mean to be Israeli today? Then came the attack of October 7th and the extreme violence that erupted.
A major existential artistic question: what do we do now? Ido and Hannan choose the worst possible option: not knowing. They play their own roles, contradicting each other live on stage. Genocide, Terror, Shoah, the words burn and they sink into their paradoxes.
Sometimes leaning towards Beckett's theatre, funny, biting and sometimes absurd, this show seeks neither to reconcile nor to reassure, but to look chaos straight in the eye. « A scenic fireworks display.
