What if Freud had been Hitler's shrink? Could absolute evil have been avoided? In this “art-house stand-up, lecture and confession, half-idiotic, half-intellectual”, Éric Feldman explores with humour and gravity the traumas of the “hidden children” who survived the Shoah: his own parents, uncles and aunts. On the thread of a mystery one is drawn to solve, the text plunges us into a whirlwind of thoughts, emotions, laughter and memories with Yiddish accents. We meet Uncle Lucien and Aunt Sarah, the great writer Isaac Bashevis Singer, Éric's cat Milosh, and we think of the great figures of New York Jewish comedians. An autofiction to transcend one's personal history, touch people's hearts and celebrate, in these dark times, the fragility and miracle of being alive.
