Nicolas, a young Parisian doctor who has been relocated to Tokyo for many years, returns to the capital for the first time with Kim, his Japanese fiancée who has only ever seen Paris in films and TV series. Kim is a very sensitive girl who must avoid any form of upset.
During the plane journey that is supposed to take them to "Paradise", Nicolas hears about the "Paris Syndrome". This little-known medical phenomenon plunges Japanese tourists who idealise "the city of love" into a deep depression as soon as they discover the reality of what the capital has become. To protect her, Nicolas decides to lie to his beloved and reassure her in her belief that life in Paris is beautiful. He will transform everything that is most horrible in Paris, such as traffic jams, insecurity, Parisians... the high cost of living, impoliteness, but also Parisians... misery, dirt, not to mention Parisians... into wonderful things. Throughout an entire weekend, he will reassure her in her belief that Paris is Magique.
