A radiant star of the greatest international stages, soprano Nadine Sierra stops at the Opéra Royal for an evening of virtuosity and emotion. This programme, blending the clarity of Mozart's greatest arias and the refinement of Donizetti's bel canto, marks the American soprano's first collaboration with the Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal, which will continue with a tour of around ten dates in France and Spain! The first part celebrates the genius of Salzburg: from the suspended melancholy of the aria "Ruhe Sanft" from Zaïde to the Countess's amorous doubts in Le Nozze di Figaro, between airy sweetness and dramatic precision. After the interval, the tone changes to make way for vocal pyrotechnics and the theatre of emotions. Donizetti's heroines, from the mischievous Norina of Don Pasquale to the tragic Lucia di Lammermoor, offer the performer a complete field of expression. Accompanied by the Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal under the baton of Victor Jacob, Nadine Sierra displays all her panache here. Between brilliant symphonic overtures and bravura arias, this recital promises to be one of the great lyrical moments of the Opéra Royal season, which welcomes the great diva for the very first time in its history!
