ALISON'S HALO (10 PM) (Shoegaze - Phoenix, US) Alison's Halo formed in Tempe, Arizona, in autumn 1992, with Catherine Cooper (vocals, guitar), Adam Cooper (guitar), David Roger (bass, vocals), and Roger Brogan (drums, percussion). Just a few months after forming, the band established themselves on the local scene and quickly secured gigs alongside nationally renowned artists such as The Verve, Ultra Vivid Scene, Curve, The Boo Radleys, Stereophonics, Medicine, Lovesliescrushing, Bailter Space, and many others. The band was also invited to perform at numerous festivals across the United States. In 1995, the single *Dozen / Calendar* was released on the legendary Independent Project Records label. It received excellent national reviews and significant airplay on college radio. Its captivating blend of crystalline and saturated guitars, combined with Catherine Cooper's striking melodies, quickly attracted a wide audience and allowed the band to embark on a successful nationwide tour. Their debut album, *Eyedazzler*, was recorded between 1992 and 1996 on various 2, 4, and 8-track Porta Studio cassette recorders, before being released in 1998 by Detroit's Burnt Hair Records label. This remarkable collection of songs has steadily gained popularity since its release and is now considered one of the major shoegaze and dream-pop albums, among the most iconic of the golden age of these two genres. https://alisonshalo.bandcamp.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a35AFcSlQOI The rest of the programme will be announced very soon!
