In this show, which alternates music and narration, Pascal Amoyel does much more than (magnificently) interpret some of Bach's most beautiful pieces on the piano; he also gives us the keys to his passion for this man and this musical genius, a musician who was at once a poet, mathematician, and philosopher.

“My first encounter with Bach took place when I was about 7 or 8 years old. I must admit: I didn't much like his music. Until that day… I was visiting Notre-Dame Cathedral for the first time. Suddenly, from nowhere, a monumental, colossal, dizzying sound burst forth from the stone's depths. I had the sensation that the columns, the entire vaults, began to sing. I, who was not a believer, found myself thinking: 'If God exists, it is He who is speaking.' In a fraction of a second, I knew: it was Bach.”

The students of the Conservatoire Roger Bourdin will perform in the first part of this concert.
