Sanit Mils presents: BAÏKAL (Post-Metal / Trip-Hop - Metz)
Led by Jérôme Colombelli and Matthieu Romain, former members of Uneven Structure who also played with Cult Of Occult, Psykup and God's Empire, BAÏKAL approaches post-metal from a less expected path. Trip-hop, doom, shoegaze and dark electronic elements infiltrate compositions that play on depth and rising tension. Their eponymous debut album, released in September 2025 on Araki Records, was mixed by Chris Edrich (Devin Townsend, Leprous, Tesseract, The Ocean).
LE GRAND DÉCLIN (Post-Metal - Paris)
Formed around Lussi (Mypollux) and MaaAx (The Etherist, Dawn of the Tigers), Le Grand Déclin moves forward without trying to neatly fit into genre boxes. Hammered rhythms, soaring guitars, ethereal vocals suddenly caught by screams. After a first EP released in 2024, the project became a full band with the arrival of Karim Attoumane (JJAX, Jericho, Emel Mathlouthi) and Loïc Maurin (M83, Luke, Arman Méliès, Uffie).
HØLLS (Post-Hardcore - Besançon)
With HØLLS, female screams can give way to more suspended passages before the track plunges back in, sometimes bordering on post-black. Their debut album ILL, released in January 2025, has already opened up a good series of dates for them in France and abroad, with appearances at FIMU, Metal Gates Festival or Black Moth Fest and support slots for Sylvaine and Witch Fever.
