This piece, which originated the duo, represents the “musical encounter” between Lukas Vanbeckevoort, violinist, and Romain Jansen, pianist.
Both completing their Master’s degrees at the CNSMD de Lyon, Lukas and Romain are fortunate to regularly benefit from the advice of great musicians such as Laurent Cabasso and Marc Danel in preparing their project around the complete ten sonatas for violin and piano by L. V. Beethoven, to celebrate the bicentenary of the composer's death in

Born in 2002 in Hasselt (Belgium), Lukas Vanbeckevoort is currently finishing his Master’s degree in violin at the CNSMD de Lyon in Marc Danel’s class.
After studying at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, Lukas very early developed a passion for chamber music, which he practices with his family in the NoiQuattro ensemble. Lukas has perfected his skills with great pedagogues such as Ning Kam, Stephan Picard, and Ingolf Turban, and has won several international competitions. He plays on a 1720 David Tecchler (Rome) violin. Born in Lyon in 2004, a solo pianist and passionate about chamber music, Romain Jansen develops a particular affinity for the Russian Romantic repertoire. A student completing his Master’s degree at the CNSMD de Lyon in Laurent Cabasso’s class, he has notably distinguished himself by performing Rachmaninov’s 3rd Concerto with several international orchestras, and by winning two competitions in Los Angeles in
