The show takes place in the autumn of 1902, at the time when Colette cut her hair to adopt the iconic hairstyle she is known for. This added to her desire for emancipation, and the verbal jousts with her husband at the time multiplied.
Henry Gauthier-Villars, known as Willy, then signed the famous Claudine novels with his name, and not his wife's. On stage, the two actors play, sing, and interpret 5 characters.
The author freely drew inspiration from the lives of these two figures of French literature, but without forgetting to remain as faithful as possible to their story and the accuracy of the dates.
