Perspectives on Parisian green space gardeners and arborists-pruners, a travelling photo exhibition currently visible on the railings of the Ecole Du Breuil

Two photographers, Frédéric Combeau and Sonia Yassa, work for the City of Paris. They produce photo reports and respond to image requests on themes related to green spaces and the environment. During their assignments, they meet and observe professionals in the field. Here, they offer their unique vision. Frédéric Combeau presents a black and white perspective on gardeners in their environment. Sonia Yassa chooses to present a colour report on the various tasks of arborists-pruners, into which two photos by Frédéric Combeau are integrated.

Beautifying the urban landscape

More than 1,000 gardeners work daily, using sustainable management methods, for the operation and beautification of the City of Paris's 2,300 hectares of green heritage: nearly 550 parks and gardens, and planters.

Planting and caring for trees

With more than 200,000 trees planted in the streets, green spaces, and municipal facilities, not to mention over 300,000 trees in the Bois de Boulogne and Vincennes, arborists-pruners play an essential role in urban well-being.
