A figurehead and essential craftsman of demanding and honest French chanson, Dominique A makes his grand return to La Luciole. With his new opus « Spirales  » (2026), the artist makes a captivating turn, temporarily abandoning fiction to return to the centre of the game through an autobiographical repertoire of total sincerity, carried by a rawer, more physical, and resolutely rock sound. What is his story? It all began in June 2024 during a nostalgic stroll in Provins, his hometown. While walking through the public garden of his childhood, a click occurred: the visceral need to revisit the places of his youth (Provins, Nantes) and to celebrate friendships rediscovered after decades of silence. To materialise this return to his roots, the choice of studio was an obvious one: the Garage Hermétique, near Nantes, the very place where Dominique A mixed his seminal first album, « La Fossette  », thirty-five years earlier. Conceived in osmosis with his stage musicians, this 15th studio album was nourished by the intensity of live performance and a healthy desire not to smooth everything out by computer. By moving away from trends, Dominique A traces a perfect curve – a spiral – around his own memories to make them resonate better with our time. What atmosphere can be expected on stage?
