Dopelord

Monolord is a Swedish doom/stoner trio renowned for its massive, earth-shattering riffs, hypnotic grooves, and emotionally charged atmospheres.

Formed in Gothenburg in 2013, the band, comprising Thomas Jäger (guitar/vocals), Esben Willems (drums), and Mika Häkki (bass), quickly established itself as a key reference in the modern doom scene, releasing internationally acclaimed albums and undertaking intensive tours across Europe, North and South America, as well as performing at major festivals such as Hellfest, Desertfest, Psycho Las Vegas, and Roadburn.

Their records, including Empress Rising, Vænir, Rust, and No Comfort, have solidly cemented their reputation, blending crushing fuzz with subtle melodic lines and immersive, repetition-based compositions.

Now considered one of the most consistent and beloved bands on the heavy scene, Monolord is preparing to open a new chapter with the release of a new album scheduled for 2026, produced by legendary engineer Sylvia Massy and released on Relapse Records.
