Inspired by testimonies from residents of the Sanzillon estate, this show follows inhabitants facing the demolition of their neighbourhood, attempting to preserve their memories and connections, blending humour and emotion.

This season, the Théâtre Rutebeuf inaugurates a new event dedicated to emerging creative talent from Clichy. To open this highlight, we welcome Fais la chose juste, the first text by Clichy-based director Clémentine Billy.

Drawing on testimonies from former residents of the Sanzillon estate, this show sits on the border between documentary and fiction. In an estate destined for demolition, several residents see their bearings falter.

Faced with uncertainty, they try to preserve what connects them: their memories, their neighbourhood, and the bonds they have forged over the years.

Performed by six actors, this contemporary fable blends humour, emotion, and collective energy to tell the story of a familiar place about to disappear.

Through intimate trajectories, it questions our relationship to memory, urban transformations, and the place each person seeks to find in a world in perpetual motion.

Created from a story deeply rooted in the Clichy area, Fais la chose juste offers a sensitive and profoundly human perspective on those who inhabit the city.
