It is only natural that the great pedagogue and immense pianist Frank Braley, master of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, meets the young Artists in Residence of the Chapel for an evening. The concert, dedicated to discovery and transmission, brings together Beethoven, Dvořák and Korngold for a memorable evening of chamber music. Korngold's quartet suite, a key composer in the emergence of an American style, is a work as spectacular as it is little known. It follows two pieces of implacable expressive force: the piano trios “Geister” and “Dumky”.
