Frères

Sugar and coffee to talk about the Spanish Civil War and the Retirada, the kitchen as a playground, everyday objects as protagonists, the dining table becoming a battlefield. Frères is the story of an anti-fascist Spanish grandfather told by his grandsons through their memories, a story that was told to them and that they, in turn, want to pass on, so as not to forget. Points of view, ideologies, and memory mingle in the black coffee of family memories. Coffee, we like it with or without sugar; Frères is the bitter story of those who retain the taste of youth and utopias. It received the MOMIX 2017 award (professional jury and youth jury).
