The first time I heard The Band Geeks, I was completely blown away!
“The first time I heard The Band Geeks, I was completely blown away! They sound exactly like the classic YES of the 70s, the YES I know and love… AND THAT’S WHAT I WANT TO BRING TO YOU ON THIS TOUR… THE MUSIC OF YES IS ETERNAL!” – Jon Anderson
Jon Anderson is, without a doubt, one of the most recognisable voices in music, as the lead singer and primary creator of YES. He is the author and one of the main creative forces behind the groundbreaking album “Fragile”, as well as the series of epic and complex tracks such as “Awaken”, “Gates of Delirium” and especially “Close to the Edge”, which played an essential role in the band’s success. Furthermore, Anderson co-wrote the band’s biggest hits, including “I’ve Seen All Good People”, “Roundabout” and “Owner Of A Lonely Heart”.
After 50 years of success in the music industry, Jon has worked with numerous YES lineups, as well as with Vangelis, Kitaro, Roine Stolt and Jean-Luc Ponty. He has released several critically acclaimed solo albums, including “Olias of Sunhillow”, “Song of Seven”, “Animation”, “Three Ships”, “Toltec”, “Survival and Other Stories” and most recently “1000 Hands”, to name but a few.
The Band Geeks started as the house band for the Band Geek podcast, an internet show created by Richie Castellano (Blue Öyster Cult). The band gained significant popularity on YouTube thanks to their incredibly detailed covers of tracks by artists such as Queen, Toto, Black Sabbath and Yes, accumulating over 30 million views.
The Band Geeks:
Richie Castellano (Blue Öyster Cult) - Bass, Guitar
Chris Clark (Brand X, John Entwistle) – Keyboards
Andy Ascolese (Kasim Sulton’s Utopia, in tribute to Meat Loaf) – Drums
