Kery James

Born to Haitian parents and raised between Guadeloupe and Orly, Kery James — real name Alix Mathurin — established himself early as a singular voice in French rap.

Spotted at 11 for his talents as writer and rapper, he signs his first feature on MC Solaar's album Reap What You Sow before founding Ideal J and joining the Mafia K'1 Fry collective. For nearly thirty years, Kery James has been a major figure in French hip-hop.

His humanist rap, deeply committed against inequality, brings him lasting success: over 700,000 albums sold, mythical sold-out venues (7 Olympia, 4 Zénith, 2 Accor Arena) and a multifaceted career spanning music, theater and film.

His plays À vif and À huis clos drew wide audiences, as did his film Banlieusards, a hit on Netflix. P – Resistance Love Poetry, an intimate and powerful project. On this occasion, he tours the stages, before his exceptional date at Accor Arena, Paris, on 15 November 2026.
