A business dinner in a woke-bourgeois family at the head of a sex toy factory turns into a farce under the influence of a hallucinogenic mushroom! True to their taste for burlesque and subversion, the duo Claire & Mélanie deliver a joyfully corrosive political satire, inspired by the codes of boulevard theatre.
At the helm of Moulisex, a leader in hand-moulded latex sex toys, are Mélanie, an ambitious CEO, and her partner Claire, a left-wing heiress in charge of the “well-being and care” department. The couple invites a lobbyist-start-up entrepreneur, who holds a patent for an organic sex toy, and his somewhat conservative senator wife to a decisive dinner for the future of their declining company. But the omelette served that evening, a little too special, will ultimately expose their true selves, their relationships, their progressive certainties, and their power dynamics. With this hallucinatory farce, inspired by the famous play Potiche, Claire Lapeyre-Mazérat and Mélanie Martinez-Llense paint a portrait that is as funny as it is lucid of a well-meaning, woke petty bourgeoisie, caught between its ambitions and its contradictions.
