After presenting their first creation, Sirènes, at the TGP in May 2023, the 52 Hertz company returns with a show that imagines a new space for gathering, far from everyday life.

How can we combat the feeling of disenchantment with the modern, material, and commercial world, so far removed from the magical and the sacred? How can we rediscover insolent joy and conceive new celebrations?

Hélène Bertrand, Margaux Desailly, and Blanche Ripoche unpick the grand fictions with which we grew up, to free ourselves from the norms that confine us.

Economy of words, theatre of images, improvised costumes, or objects of great beauty: the stage transforms into a vibrant space where medieval rites and pop culture intertwine.

Drawing on real or fantasised traditions, folklore, and art history, Mystères brings together Bacchus, Mickey, a carnival giant, and even a farandole of skeletons to question, with humour and mischief, our relationship with the sacred.

Playing with the codes of carnival, Mystères is a pagan ceremony, both contemporary and ancestral, on the border of clowning, performance, and theatre, celebrating renewal.
