Neg Marrons

Active for over 25 years, Jacky and Ben-J, childhood friends originally from Cape Verde and Congo, grew up in Garges-les-Gonesse in the Parisian suburbs. R, Deenastyle on Radio Nova, and Rapline on M6.

Their lyrics were politically engaged, mirroring the American hip hop scene with the group Public Enemy, not to mention that the apartheid policy in South Africa did not leave them indifferent. Their stage name signifies this spirit of rebellion.

Revealed by the single "La Monnaie", they signed with Sony Music and achieved immediate success with their first album « Rue Case Nègre  », which went gold upon its release.

Subsequently, the two companions multiplied their projects: production with the label "Première Classe", radio with the show "Couvre feu" on Skyrock, and the multi-gold-certified collective "Bisso na Bisso".
