The Brussels quartet OLA TUNJI gathers around saxophonist Ornella Noulet and a shared passion for the spiritual dimension of jazz.
On October 16th, the official release date of their first album on WERF Records, they will have the honour of being present at the prestigious 38Riv club to celebrate this release with the audience.
Drawing from the legacy of John Coltrane and his contemporaries, their music explores improvisation as expression and connection. Often moving from stripped-down textures to denser passages, their individual voices emerge, while remaining integrated into a larger flow.
The music is less like a succession of tracks than a continuous process. On stage, OLA TUNJI creates an immersive atmosphere akin to a trance: a special experience for the audience.
