The iconic alternative rock band will perform tracks from their first two albums, « Placebo » and « Without You I’m Nothing », some of which haven't been played live in over 20 years. Placebo's tour will include a stop in France.
A second treat: Placebo announce « Placebo RE:CREATED », a reinterpretation of the album that introduced them to the world in 1996. The album will be released on 19 June 2026 via Elevator Lady Ltd and AWAL.
When Placebo first emerged in 1996, the band's aesthetic and lyrical universe challenged expectations within British rock culture.
Their deliberately ambiguous, glamorous, and provocative visual identity opposed traditional ideas of gender and masculinity at a time when these discussions rarely entered mainstream discourse.
In doing so, Placebo opened up a space for another form of alternative voice, which deeply resonated with an audience feeling outside the cultural mainstream, and which is still cited as a reference by many of their contemporaries today.
