Syd Matters

There are some first times you never forget. The first time you heard Syd Matters' captivating voice is one of them.

From "End & Start Again", his first single in 2003, Jonathan Morali's warm and soulful singing and his unique melodies, as if from another age, revealed a unique artist.

Four albums followed, bringing with them a host of unforgettable songs: "Black & White Eyes", "Obstacles", "To All Of You" or "I Might Float", which left their mark on an entire generation.

On stage, we remember intense concerts where the singer and his musicians delivered interpretations that were both epic and intimate.

Then Jonathan Morali became more discreet but remained just as prolific, writing for theatre, video games and cinema, collaborating with Éric Rochant, Rémi Chayé, Thoms Litli and on the remarkable series "Life Is Strange", a global hit that introduced him to a new audience.

Absent for too long, Syd Matters will make his grand return to record with a new album, his fifth, to be released in September 2026 on the Créature label (Fishbach, Chassol…).

He will then tour France and Europe, returning to the legendary stage of L'Olympia on November 17, 2026, where he will play his new songs. And others that we know by heart and haven't forgotten.
