The Syntest Quintet

In search of “their sound”, Arlet Feuillard and the Syntest Quintet develop music where writing, improvisation, and collective research constantly interact.

Inspired by artists such as Kurt Rosenwinkel and Aaron Parks, the group also enriches its universe with influences from elsewhere, from African music to rock, which permeate its compositions and arrangements.

A fluid dialogue between the instruments, where each musician participates in the construction of a common language. From this listening emerges music that is at once dynamic, introspective, and audacious.

After a first year of residency rich in discoveries, Arlet Feuillard and the Syntest Quintet return to Le Baiser Salé to extend this adventure, which has become a true laboratory where new compositions, new arrangements, and musical avenues take shape over the course of the concerts.

Created in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain slot gave birth to a series of bimonthly residencies allowing young artists to experiment on stage, to hone a repertoire, while presenting it to the public. A promising and fruitful slot where creativity and effervescence know no bounds.
