ATHENS LANDS AT LA MÉCA ON NOVEMBER 20TH.

Sanit Mils presents: THEODORE (Alternative Post-Rock - Greece) Author, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, THEODORE transforms alternative rock into a fluid material, shaped by electronics, post-punk, and a willingly existential lyrical style.

His tracks are designed to take on a new dimension on stage, where his work relies as much on tension as on immersion.

After several European tours and two visits to the United States, his live performance at SXSW caught the attention of Bob Boilen, who invited him in 2019 for an NPR Tiny Desk session.

Reeperbahn, Eurosonic, Primavera Pro, and Europavox followed, as well as dates alongside Sigur Rós, Amber Run, and DIIV. In late 2025, Theodore released FIRE and took it on the road across Europe.

SOMA (Psychedelic Grunge-Punk - Greece) SOMA is the new band of Xanthos Papanikolaou, former frontman of Bazooka.

With Thanos Frantzis (Tiffany), Timos Harden (Silhouette), and Orfeas Daramaras (XVIV), he delves back into what Greek rock does most instinctively: overflowing guitars, a rhythm section constantly pushing forward, and Greek-sung melodies that stick in your head.

Their debut album Sti Chora Tou Fotos (In the Land of Light) was released in April 2026 on Magma Records, George Karanikolas's label from The Last Drive.

It showcases the band's taste for sixties psychedelic rock, but also everything Athens has absorbed from post-punk and grunge since then.
