18 ATRIO de TURIN (Trio di Torino)Sergio Lamberto, violinJacopo Di Tonno, celloGiacomo Fuga, pianoFormed in 1987, the ensemble has since maintained an intense artistic activity that has led it to be invited by prestigious musical associations and international festivals, including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Settimane Musicali di Stresa, the Festival dei Due Mondi, the Unione Musicale di Torino, the Mahler Festival and Settembre Musica.

Winner of the first prize at the Viotti International Competition in 1990 and the second prize at the Osaka International Competition in 1993, the ensemble also won, in 1995, the second prize at the Trapani International Competition in its piano quintet formation, with the participation of violinist Marina Bertolo and violist Gustavo Fioravanti.

The ensemble has performed in France, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Japan. Its vast repertoire extends from 18th-century classics to contemporary composers.

Its discography includes works by Johannes Brahms, Antonín Dvorák, Frédéric Chopin, Bedrich Smetana, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Dmitri Shostakovich, as well as works by lesser-known composers such as Anton Rubinstein and Sergei Taneyev.

Sergio Lamberto is a violin professor at the Giuseppe Verdi di Torino Conservatory. Since 1989, he has been the first violinist of the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino. Jacopo Di Tonno is a cello professor at the Giuseppe Nicolini Conservatory and cellist of the Quartetto Klimt.

Giacomo Fuga is a chamber music professor at the Turin Conservatory.
