About — The artist
Gaël Faye, né le 6 août 1982 à Bujumbura (Burundi), est un rappeur, chanteur, auteur-compositeur-interprète et écrivain franco-rwandais.
En 2016, il publie un premier roman, Petit Pays, inspiré de sa propre histoire pendant le génocide des Tutsi au Rwanda et au Burundi en 1994. L'ouvrage remporte le prix Goncourt des lycéens.
En 2020, après deux premiers albums musicaux solo et deux EP peu remarqués, il sort l'album Lundi méchant. En 2022, il participe à l'EP Éphémère avec Grand Corps Malade et Ben Mazué.
En 2024, huit ans après Petit Pays, il publie son deuxième roman intitulé Jacaranda.
