About — The artist
Hooverphonic is a Belgian trip hop group formed in 1995 by Alex Callier (bassist and programmer), Raymond Geerts (guitarist), Frank Duchêne (keyboard), and singer Esther Lybeert. Although she left the group very quickly, she is featured on some demos of the first album. She was replaced by Liesje Sadonius, who appears on the final studio version of the first album. Sadonius left after its recording and was briefly replaced by Kyoko Baertsoen from Lunascape, then by Geike Arnaert from the second album until 2008. Noémie Wolfs (originally from Montaigu) was the group's singer until March 29, 2015. She was then replaced by Luka Cruysberghs. On November 9, 2020, Hooverphonic announced the return of Geike Arnaert on vocals.
