About — The artist
Lol Tolhurst, real name Laurence Tolhurst, is a musician born on 3 February 1959 in Horley, Surrey. He was the drummer for the band The Cure from 1976 to 1982 before becoming their keyboardist until his dismissal by Robert Smith in 1989.
He then founded the short-lived band Presence. The project lasted only three years. In 2002, he created Levinhurst, an electronica band, with his wife Cindy Levinson. He has been recording and collaborating with Budgie since 2023.
