Pet Shop Boys is a British synthpop duo formed in 1981 in Chelsea (London). It consists of Neil Tennant on vocals, keyboards, and occasionally guitar, and Chris Lowe on synthesizer and occasionally vocals. Their musical style ranges between disco, new wave, house, and dance-pop.

With over one hundred million records sold worldwide, Pet Shop Boys is the most prolific English duo in musical history according to the Guinness Book of Records. It has numerous hits such as West End Girls (1984), Suburbia (1986), It's a Sin (1987), What Have I Done to Deserve This? (with Dusty Springfield, 1987), and New York City Boy (1999). Their covers of Always on My Mind (1987) and Go West (1993) are also acclaimed.
