59 Rivoli, initially named Chez Robert: électrons libres, is an artists' collective, founded and based in a building formerly squatted at number 59 rue de Rivoli in Paris. This appropriation of the premises by artists was legalised by an agreement with the Paris City Council.
59 Rivoli thus hosts artists in residence within its walls. Concerts bring the venue to life, and its contemporary art gallery is open to artists from the site as well as to external artists.
