The Hippodrome de Vincennes (brand name Vincennes Hippodrome de Paris) is a racecourse located in Paris, in the 12th arrondissement, within the Bois de Vincennes. Inaugurated in March 1863, it is dedicated to horse racing, particularly trotting, both harness and mounted.
The Hippodrome de Vincennes hosts 153 meetings and 1,255 races each year, including its winter meeting and evening races.
Thanks to the quality of its cinder track, the facilities for trotters, horses (150 stables), and spectators (capacity of 35,000), and the hosting of prestigious races such as the Grand Prix de France and the Grand Prix d'Amérique, it is often considered the "temple of trotting" in France.
Its capacity is 80,000 people.
