About — The venue
The Théâtre de Sartrouville et des Yvelines is a national drama centre located in Sartrouville, in the Yvelines department. Patrice Chéreau rose to prominence there in the 1960s with his theatrical creations, in a village hall nestled within modern apartment blocks and made available to him by the municipality, before a more suitable building for the drama centre was constructed in 1986.
