STAATSBALLETT BERLIN A major event of the 2027-2028 season, the Staatsballett Berlin, one of the greatest dance companies, is finally coming to Paris!

From 14 to 16 January 2028, the Staatsballett Berlin presents a two-part evening, bringing together SAABA by Sharon Eyal and Minus 16 by Ohad Naharin, two major figures in dance who are perfectly suited to the company. A modern, hypnotic, and exhilarating programme.

With SAABA, Sharon Eyal creates a universe of movements and rhythms that are as fascinating as they are mysterious. The pulsations of Ori Lichtik's music blend with fragments of familiar melodies, creating a constantly shifting soundscape. The costumes, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, then artistic director of Dior, envelop the dancers in an evanescent material of lace and tears, both fragile and powerful. The choreographer's unique style exudes a singular hypnotic force and deploys its full power against this expressive sound backdrop.

In Minus 16, Ohad Naharin unreservedly shares a celebration of life. This emblematic piece blends raw energy, humour, and directed improvisation. A fiery, acrobatic, and audacious ballet, it demands total emotional openness from the dancers. Carried by eclectic music ranging from popular to more introspective pieces, the work is powerfully embodied by a large ensemble of dancers. It has garnered numerous standing ovations since its creation in 1999 by the Nederlands Dans Theater. Sometimes hilarious, absolutely captivating, Naharin's ballet is undeniably exhilarating. Its positive dynamic is contagious, and the contagion is intentional.

In Paris, the Staatsballett Berlin presents two pieces and the same urgency to dance.
