For almost sixty years, this East Coast US company has included in its repertoire both “classics” (Petipa, Nureyev, Balanchine, John Cranko…) and some of the great names in contemporary dance (William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Wayne McGregor, Mark Morris, Christopher Wheeldon, Jorma Elo…). This speaks to the high degree of technicality of this company and its dancers in tackling such repertoire diversity, worthy of the greatest ballets worldwide. They are back with two of the most interesting choreographers of their generation, Alexander Ekman and Akram Khan, both regulars at the Théâtre de l’avenue Montaigne.
