The Orchestre Pasdeloup presents a fiery and brilliant programme. The concert opens with Richard Strauss’s Don Juan, then Aurélien Pascal, invited for the first time by the Orchestre Pasdeloup, performs D. Shostakovich’s magnificent and heroic Cello Concerto No. 1. Wolfgang Doerner, a long-time friend of the orchestra, then conducts P. I. Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture. These pieces promise intensity and depth in works performed to intoxicate you with beautiful energy.
