British multi-instrumentalist Shabaka forges a path at the crossroads of jazz, spiritual music, and world traditions. An incandescent saxophonist on the London scene in 2020, he has performed alongside Angélique Kidjo, Esperanza Spalding, and Mulatu Astatke. In 2023, he chose to dedicate himself to flutes from around the world, with a particular fondness for the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese flute. This artistic metamorphosis gave birth to the album Of The Earth. Nourished by his travels and spiritual research, his music opens spaces where jazz dialogues with trance, breath, and contemplation, inviting an intense, free, and deeply sensory listening experience.

A spiritual guide and popular figure, Abu Sadiya is the founder of the Tunisian stambeli rite, in which music and trance play a central role.
