Doing the 'chenille' (caterpillar dance) all together, on a show night. The idea seems simple, almost trivial. And yet, this festive ritual triggers strong reactions: rejection, pleasure, embarrassment, euphoria.

Taking the chenille as its starting point, La Cabale delivers an inventive comedy that subtly questions our relationship with ridicule and shame. What if dancing together could be a first step towards reconciliation?

With a strong taste for Monty Python-esque absurd humour, the nine actors dare everything: burlesque, excess, assumed idiocy, and a cascade of knowing winks. Welcome to Kermesse! The title sets the tone, a joyful one.

The atmosphere is that of a village fete, with confetti and firecrackers, the flonflons of the ball, XXL costumes, and cardboard sets.
