Overview
Created and coordinated by La Loge since 2013, the Fragments Festival is now a major scouting ground for new generations of contemporary theatre artists. It allows companies to present an initial stage of their ongoing creation. It thus enables the thirteen sponsored companies to benefit from a structuring period of visibility, fostering the consolidation of their production and the initiation of national distribution.
Fragments is now an unmissable highlight, established in the artistic landscape of the Île-de-France region and nationally, offering the opportunity to discover ambitious artistic proposals with multiple forms and styles. A true springboard, it allows the programmed teams to assert their identity, develop their network, and gain crucial visibility in their journey. Two “fragments” are to be discovered at the Grand Parquet:
Noires Sœurs, chronique d’une famille décomposée
Sorcières&Cie – Sabine Pakora
Daughter of an Ivorian millionaire, Sabine Pakora was sent to France as a child to continue her schooling in a private boarding school. After her father's businesses failed, she was placed with the Social Services for Children. Noires Sœurs, chronique d’une famille décomposée juxtaposes the disintegration of her family unit with that of the primary forest in Côte d'Ivoire, linking intimate history with ecological, economic, and political catastrophe.
La Chasse au lapin
Compagnie Désemballer – Marie de Dinechin, Matteo Perez
It was school that made her want to speak. Because she heard little rabbits at school. She heard little rabbits at school, complaining that they had been hunted. And that's when she thought, but I know that. And that's when she was told it didn't count.
