New production in French

Les Misérables, the legendary musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, has become a legend with over 130 million spectators in nearly 500 cities worldwide since its creation in London by Cameron Mackintosh 40 years ago, where it is still running. In 2024, Les Misérables returned to its home country and once again captivated Paris thanks to a new production in French at the Théâtre du Châtelet!

To serve Victor Hugo's masterpiece, Ladislas Chollat chose a minimalist staging, faithful to the spirit of the novel, to give full prominence to the story, the text, the music, and their interpretation. Thanks to the libretto specially reworked by Alain Boublil for this new production, and Claude-Michel Schönberg's score, this new production of Les Misérables achieved immense success with both the public and critics, winning several awards, including a Molière and several Trophées de la Comédie Musicale.

After captivating audiences during the 2024-2025 season, Les Misérables returns from 12 November 2026 to 10 January 2027.
