Overview
On the occasion of Paris Design Week, come and discover the two free exhibitions at the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris.
At the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris, Paris Design Week presents a diverse programme exploring the relationship with materials, living things, and savoir-faire through three proposals. Founded in 2025, the ppdesigner collective brings together seven designers.
The exhibition "Service compris", within the BHVP, will take the form of an open-air café gathering around forty designers around the Parisian café, a space for life and encounters.
Without uniform furniture or a standardised menu, each element – chair, table, crockery, or lamp – will compose a heterogeneous ensemble where practices intertwine. Throughout the exhibition, readings and activations will be organised, making the venue a lively space.
The "Bois Français & Design 2026" competition, supported by the Fibois sector, highlights a new generation of designers committed to promoting local wood. More than twenty projects have been selected from the 80 applications received.
The exhibition takes over the courtyard and spaces of the library, showcasing the diversity of approaches, between formal innovation, responsible use of resources, and reflection on production methods.
